Digital Orthophotos of Washington State

An orthophoto is an aerial photograph that has been corrected for parallax and camera tilt. Most digital orthophotos are georeferenced; they know where they lie on the face of the earth. Although many other programs can display digital orthophotos, GIS software will automatically mosaic photos of adjacent areas, and can overlay other geographic information. If you do not have GIS software, we suggest the free arcexploer_9.3.

File sizes can be large, especially among those of us who spurn lossy compression.
